Run a Hosting Business Without Per-Account License Fees
Panelica is built for reselling hosting: one flat license per server, real customer isolation, white-label branding, and billing automation through WHMCS or our own free PNLCS platform — not a developer panel with a reseller tab bolted on.
The licensing math that legacy panels hide
Per-account licensing punishes growth: the more customers you host, the more you pay per account, on top of your own hosting costs. Panelica uses a flat license per server instead — the price does not change whether you host one account or a full plan's worth of them.
Exact plan prices live on the pricing page since they can change; the model does not: no per-account surcharge, no add-on tax for reseller mode or white-label branding. For a worked comparison of what per-account pricing actually costs at scale, see The Hidden Licensing Math: What 500 cPanel Accounts Actually Cost Per Year and the full Panelica vs cPanel comparison.
Real customer isolation, not a shared box with permissions
Reselling hosting means one customer's traffic spike, runaway script, or compromised account must never reach another customer. Panelica enforces that at the kernel, across five independent layers on every account.
Cgroups v2
Kernel-enforced CPU, memory, process count, and disk I/O limits per customer — not advisory quotas.
Linux namespaces
PID and mount namespace separation per account, CageFS-style rootfs isolation.
SSH chroot
Jailed SFTP-only or full bash-and-chroot SSH access, scoped to the account's own files.
Per-user PHP-FPM
A dedicated pool per user per PHP version, with open_basedir and disabled functions enforced.
Unix permissions
Standard UID/GID separation and a locked-down home directory underneath everything else.
Billing, Your Way
A license fee for the panel is bad enough — you should never have to pay one for billing too. Panelica supports two paths, and you can start with either one.
Official WHMCS module
Built by us for us, so your existing billing system stays the single source of truth for account lifecycle and invoicing.
- Automated create, suspend, unsuspend, terminate, and password change on order and ticket actions
- Package changes re-apply kernel cgroup limits (CPU, RAM, processes) instantly
- Nightly usage sync brings disk and bandwidth consumption back into WHMCS
- One-click "Login to Panel" SSO for staff and customers, no shared passwords
- Full self-service client area: email, DNS, files, databases, WordPress, backups
- Every request HMAC-SHA256 signed; API credentials never touch the browser
PNLCS — our own open-source billing platform
If you don't want to pay for billing software at all, PNLCS is Panelica's self-hosted, open-source hosting billing platform — a free WHMCS alternative built and maintained by the same team, on Laravel 13 and MySQL 8.
- Client portal: shop and checkout, recurring invoicing, domain and SSL management, support tickets, knowledge base
- Admin panel: dashboard, bulk operations, RBAC with 45+ fine-grained permissions, 2FA
- 30-locale UI with an in-app translation editor, and 15 built-in themes
- The Panelica server module is fully tested against live servers; additional modules for other panels and payment gateways are included
- Stripe payment gateway tested in production; a Docker quickstart image gets a fresh install running in minutes
Your brand, not ours
Reseller mode and 42-color white-label branding are included, not an upsell: logo, favicon, primary and dark color, accent color, brand name, support URL, and footer are all customer-facing points a hosting provider can put their own name on. Combined with either billing path above, a customer can go from signup to a fully branded, working account without ever seeing the Panelica name.
Bring your existing customers with you
Switching platforms is the part providers dread most — not the new panel, but the migration of an existing customer base without breaking anyone's site or forcing a password reset. Panelica's importer connects to a live cPanel, Plesk, or DirectAdmin server, discovers every site automatically, then copies files, mailboxes, MySQL databases, DNS zones and SSL certificates while preserving email and database password hashes byte-for-byte, so end users keep logging in exactly as before.
Role-based access that matches how hosting businesses are staffed
A four-tier role hierarchy keeps server owners, staff, and resellers each scoped to exactly what they should touch, with granular feature permissions layered on top of every plan.

Frequently asked questions
Does Panelica charge per hosting account?
No. Panelica uses a flat license per server, regardless of how many hosting accounts you run within your plan's limits. There is no per-account surcharge and no add-on tax.
Can I migrate my existing cPanel, Plesk, or DirectAdmin customers?
Yes. Panelica's migration importer connects to the source server, discovers every site, then transfers files, mailboxes, databases, DNS zones and SSL certificates while preserving email and MySQL password hashes byte-for-byte, so customers keep their existing logins.
Do I have to use WHMCS for billing?
No. The official Panelica WHMCS module is available if you already run WHMCS, but Panelica also maintains PNLCS, a free, MIT-licensed, self-hosted billing platform with a tested Panelica server module, so you can bill customers without paying for a separate billing license at all.
Is customer data isolated between hosting accounts?
Yes. Every account is isolated across five independent layers: Cgroups v2 resource limits, Linux namespaces, SSH chroot, a per-user PHP-FPM pool, and Unix file permissions.
See it running on your own server
Install Panelica on a throwaway VPS, connect either billing path to a test order, and migrate a handful of accounts before committing. Current plan pricing and the flat-license terms are on the pricing page.
